In case anyone is interested, her solo album is finally out. It's definitely more towards the pop end of the music industry. Now, i would guess that this most of this tribe's members LEAST favorite genres. But for what it is, it is a good album. Some of the songs were co-written/produced by Sascha, and you can definitely tell which songs are when you here them. I picked mine up at a local Rasputin's record store. I think you can also pay download it on some website... somewhere.

actually, I don't think it's commercially available yet. a ton of copies were sold to fans at the wwiii tour and thats prob how your local record shop got one. it says nothing on luciamusic or kmfdm.net about the ablum being commercially released. i have it, haven't listened to it though. i have low expectations for it.

Like i said, its NOT KMFDM. Its NOT industrial (or whatever term you prefer to use). Take it as it is: a pop/rock album with mostly radio-friendly tracks. I bought it more to support her as an artist. But it is enjoyable when you are wanting something "softer". Her site does provide a link to www.lightningcd.com , where it can be bought if anyone wants to give it a shot, and give her some support.

Yea, I know it's NOT Industrial or KMFDM, hell, I don't even like her in KMFDM that much. That's why I have low expectations. I bought it at the show because I knew that would be my last chance to get it for a while. Plus since she's getting married to Sascha next year, I figured she'll be around for a while. Better get use to her now...sigh. Nicole Blackman, Abby Travis...why did you leave us?!

Sorry John, i guess i just don't understand your logic. You don't like her, you have low expectations, you don't like mainstream (so far as i can tell)... so you bought it because you thought you might not get to later? Do you expect your tastes to change? Or did you feel some obligation to but it? Please don't take offense to this. Its music. As in any artform, either you like it or you don't. You buy what you like, you ignore what you don't. Or you buy/ignore based on what you what others to think about you. I like Lucia so i bought the cd. As i did a "Drill" cd (when i finally found one). Granted, i have bought crappy cds from bands that i liked, to support them and, in my own way, help fund their next project. Oh well. I agree to disagree so we can move on, and avoid a pointless flame-war. The post was slightly off-topic to begin with.

I'm not looking to flame you, bro. A KMFDM fan is a friend of mine. I come to Tribe to make friends, so I'm not lookin' to piss anyone off.

And yes, part of the reason I bought it because I like to support KMFDM members...I even have the Schwien album for cryin' out loud. I'm a die hard KMFDM/Pig fan. I have so much stuff by them, it's kind of scary.

That being said, I collect cds, hence the reason why I thought it was smart to get it then, because it might be the last time to pick it up for a while.

It's a collection thing. Starting to understand my logic?

I like mainstream music. Justin Timberlake's solo work is very entertaining, the new Blink 182 song is great, Outkast is awesome, the new Tupac, the list goes on.

            I just like everything.

And yes, I do have low expectations for her because MDFMK upset me, and that's what I first knew her from. And Attak was a terrible comback cd, and I know she had a large imput in that.

Do I expect my tastes to change? No, not really, but then again, I like everything, as you can see from earlier in the post. Maybe her 'popish' stuff will appeal to me more than her imput in KMFDM.

The cd was like 10 bucks, real cheap. I get to support Sascha's fiancee, and I get to hear some KMFDM side project which is supposed to be really different from the rest. I may have low expectations for it, but that doesn't mean I don't want to here it. See where I'm coming from?

I wish I could just listen to it so I can say what I think...I just haven't had the time. I've been hung up on the Pig albums 'the Swining/Red Saw & Raw' and 'Great American Monster' along with some Bile albums for the past few months. Those Pig albums are fantastic. If you like Watts' stuff in KMFDM, these are amazing!

And this really wasn't off topic...but so what if it was? Nobody cares here. Friendly enviornment.

Maybe I've explained myself a bit better now.
